What are the Drivers of Profitability of Broiler Farms in the North-central and South-west Geo-political Zones of Nigeria?

This study analyzed the drivers of profitability broiler farms in north-central and south-west geo-political zones Nigeria. A multi-stage sampling technique was employed to choose a representative sample. pre-tested, structured questionnaire gather cross-sectional data from 645 respondents between November 2017 February 2018 for production year by trained enumerators. The were with budgetary model, descriptive inferential statistics. results show that feed constitute about 75% total variable cost producing 1 kg broiler. implication stood at ₦583.20, while revenue realized sales same quantity ₦734.69. further revealed farming is profitable enterprise index 39.85%. Furthermore, positive are years experience farmers, flock size, other means livelihood, process broiler, membership poultry association Nigeria (PAN).
